Rimini Campus

The Rimini Campus offers its students a culturally stimulating environment conducive to a rich, modern, intellectual and professional education. The teaching staff are relatively youthful and closely linked to the national and international university community. The traditional economics research fields are represented: economic science, business disciplines, law, statistical science (including probability, demography and information technology). Degree programmes call for a period of internship with firms, professional practices or sponsor bodies; this gives an opportunity to test one’s skills in practice, as well as a first encounter with the world of work, and perhaps some job openings.

Rimini hosted Italy’s first degree programme in Tourism Economics – a benchmark at home and abroad for tourist studies – while the degree programmes devoted to tourism are attracting students from the rest of Italy and abroad. The Campus’ degree programme in tourism has brought it TedQual accreditation from the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO, the specialist UN Agency for Tourism).

Curricula in statistics are based on basic methodological preparation, entailing teaching of statistical methods, probability and information technology, as well as subjects explicitly geared to finance and management. This is designed to produce the sort of interdisciplinary professionalism that the job market is looking for: the ability to perform quantitative analysis of financial, insurance and business phenomena which underpins strategy and decision-making.
